Tsum Tsum Mystery Stack Pack Guide (series one) Part Two

Let's do this! (also who's excited for series two?!?!!?)

DALE:

4 pieces

Dale is a bit of a tricky one, as the pieces are sort of weirdly shaped. Sometimes, pieces can be stuck together and it may feel like three pieces, but don't worry! The best way to find Dale is to look for a large piece as shown in the photo below.

However, you should still mainly look for four pieces and once you find four, then feel for the large accessory for this tsum.

LUCKY:

2 pieces *

Lucky is an easier tsum to find, as it only contains 2 pieces and the accessory can be quite obvious. The TV is large, and the knobs on the end make it easy to find.

STITCH:

3 pieces

The easiest way to find stitch is to feel for the rocket ship accessory. It's about the same size as the medium tsum and the knob on the end will help identify the piece.

FIGARO:

4 pieces *

Personally, I think the easiest way to find Figaro is to feel for his ears, as the other pieces may feel wonky and strange. However, if you do feel for the pieces, it is important to know that the fish bowl accessory is in two halves. 

MARIE: 

5 pieces *

The blind bag for Marie may have five pieces, but most of them are flat, which sets this set apart from others. This blind bag can be easier to identify as there are not many pieces that stick out from the bag. One piece to look for is part of Marie's bed, as it is flat and rectangular.

Wow... it's been awhile huh?

Sorry for being MIA for a year+ lol, I haven't had time or ideas on what to post *shrug* However, I came up with the idea for creating a guide for something I really enjoy: tsum tsums B)

So now I'm back and I'm here to share some tsum tsum information with you :D

Recently, there have been tsum tsum mystery vinyl packages popping up in stores. These packages contain a medium tsum and an accessory that goes with the tsum. However, since they are mystery tsum tsum, you don't know what's in the packaging, and can waste hours feeling through the bag to discover what is hidden within those plastic depths. (that's what I was doing today lol)

That's why I decided to create a guide for feeling up the bags to discover what's inside! I hope this guide will help you find that elusive tsum and save you some time. :)


The key to finding your tsum is to first feel for how many pieces are in the bag, and then once you narrow down which packs have that number of tsums, you can feel for the item that will give it away!

The purpose of this guide is to help you find which piece to feel for each specific tsum. :)

And now let's cut to the chase and begin guiding! Captions will tell how many pieces to feel for when searching through the plastic, and asterisks in photo captions mean the photo is not mine and I will also link back to where I found them.

DUMBO:

2 pieces *

The key to finding dumbo is feeling for a large rectangular shape—the camera of course. Once you feel the rectangle feel along the edges of the camera and look for the straps. Dumbo is one of the easier tsums to find as the camera is a very obvious piece.

WINNIE THE POOH:

3 pieces

 The key to finding Pooh is to feel for his honey jar container.

the hole is rather large (I can fit my part of my thumb into it)

The next way to confirm that it is indeed Pooh is to feel for the jar lid—it is small and has a little bump on the top for the handle. (see photo one for scale)

CHESHIRE CAT:

4 pieces *

If you want to find Cheshire cat quickly, you should feel for the branches of the tree. None of the other tsums have something so long and spindly and the branches should be a dead giveaway.

MINNIE:

2 pieces *

For Minnie, her large hair bow accessory can be easily felt through the plastic, making it easy to pick her out! The bow can feel like a bone with large ends, if that helps. You can also feel the tsum to verify that it is indeed Minnie, as only Minnie and Marie, another tsum, have bows between their ears.

SEBASTIAN:

4 pieces *

Sebastian can be found by feeling for the shells that are part of the accessory. Another way to find Sebastian is to feel for the green leaf, as it has an angle to it which can be felt through the plastic. The final way to discover Sebastian is with the tsum itself, and because it is the only tsum to have a shell and no ears those are features that you can look for too! :)

Quickie Nail Art Post!

It's almost Halloween ... so you know what that means... TIME TO GET SPOoOoOoOooOOoOKY! Today I will be showing you how to do some great cobweb nail art.

This is a quickie nail art tutorial, which means it doesn't take too long and there won't be as many photos either LOL.

First, I started off with two coats of Essie's After SchoolBoy Blazer.

Then I drew three straight lines that all started from one corner of the nail.

 After that, draw some slightly curved lines in between the three straight lines, and then you're done!

woohoo that was fun :D

You can add a top coat to seal in your design and also so it will last longer as well. :)

As you can see, that was a very simple and quick nail design just in time for Halloween! Hope you enjoyed this and until my next tutorial! :) See you then~

Rilakkuma Nail Art

Yayy I can finally post a nail art tutorial :D

Today I'm going to show you how to do these cool rilakkuma nails. 

whee sorry the pic is a bit blurry :P

Alright let's get started!

You will need:

~ a nude nail polish (I used OPI's "Don't Bossa Nova Me Around" from their Brazil collection) (you can use a darker nude because this one is a bit light)

~ white nail polish

~ black nail polish

~ a clear topcoat
~ some kind of dotting tool (I used a sharpened chopstick and a regular dotting tool)

(I don't use basecoat because I haven't found one I like yet :\)

These are the polishes that I used

These are what my tools look like

 First apply a layer of your nude color.

This is one coat of  OPI's Don't Bossa Nova Me Around

After it dries, paint on a second coat.

I added a second coat to make it more opaque

Now take your white nail polish and add a small oval near the tip of your nail.

This is going to be where the mouth and nose go

For this next step, I put my black polish on some paper so I could easily dip my chopstick into it.

A sharpened chopstick allows you to make small designs with more control

Now you can add a pair of eyes, a nose, and a mouth.

I did my pinky nail first :)

Now finish the rest of your nails with the same design.

I can just imagine them singing "We are familyy" :D

Now all that's left is to add a top coat, and VOILA: your finished nail art design!

Polymer Clay Ducks

Guess who lied about posting a nail art tutorial... :|

Yup that would be me ._. (I actually did do my nails - I just forgot to do a tutorial for them    -__- ... maybe some other time...)

However - I have a different (but also exciting) tutorial for you today! That's right - today I will teach you how to make adorable clay ducks you can give to friends and family.

Alright let's get started!

You will need:
~ Yellow clay
~ Orange clay
~ Black clay
(that's about it, unless you want to use tools other than your hands ^_^)

I like to use Fimo soft clay for all my clay creations :)

First, you're going to want to get out your yellow clay and split it into two sections, one slightly larger than the other one.

Now roll the smaller one into a ball and make the larger into a slightly oval shape with one side round and the other side a little pointier. Attach the smaller part (the head) to the larger part (the body), and then you have your first part of the duck.

Now make two very small yellow balls for the wings of the duck and slightly roll them out while pinching one end. Make sure you flatten them after you feel like they are a good wing shape.

As you can see, mine are slightly kidney bean shaped. You can make your wings sharper at the ends if you wish.

After that, it's time to get the beak ready so pull out some orange clay and roll it into a ball.

Then make the beak sort of a 3-D u-shape and attach it to the duck's face. Then you can get two small pieces of black clay and attach the eyes.

Now they really look like ducks!

Stick an eye pin into the top of the duck's head and bake that clay!

Now you can glaze your clay and attach a jump ring and make it into a key ring or a cellphone dangler.

These little ducks make perfect gifts for people who appreciate the little things - quite literally. These ducks are so small and cute that no one will be able to resist them.

Perler Bead Candy Bracelets

Sorry for the really long hiatus! I kind of forgot I had this blog to run as well ^_^ #oops
Anyways, here is the tutorial as promised! Today's tutorial will be on a bracelet I made awhile ago.
Ever have a bunch of perler beads that you never finished using? Well, I did, and I found a tutorial on how to make "candy bracelets" out of your leftover beads. However, the tutorial was in a different language, and I found it hard to understand. That's why I have set up a tutorial today to make your own candy bracelets. 

You will need:
Perler Beads
An oven
Aluminum foil
A tray
Elastic (for the bracelet)
Clear nail polish (to seal the knot)

First, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the beads onto your tray. Wait about five minutes (and make sure you watch the beads!) and soon they will be melted. One of my favorite parts of this DIY project was simply watching the perler beads become flat! :) Once you they become flat, take them out of the oven, let them cool, and then you can start taking the flattened beads off one by one.

Since most of my beads were cool colors, I decided to make a bracelet using blues and greens. I simply measured the length of elastic cord I needed to fit around my wrist (and a little more for the knot) and slipped the beads on. Here is a photo I took of what the bracelet looks like in the beginning.

After you are finished stringing the beads on, tie the bracelet off and secure the knot with some clear nail polish.

Starburst and Hershey's

You may think that the name of this blog is Starburst and Hershey's because of candy, but that is actually false. You see, I have a llama and an alpaca whose names are Starburst and Hershey's, so this blog is named after them!
 Here are some pictures:
 The white llama is Starburst, and the brown one is Hershey's! :) They will be my main models for this blog, but you will probably see other things, people, or animals used on this blog. I will be uploading a tutorial possibly next week! See you then~
